Dr. Marco Caffio

In 2016, he co-founded Integrated Graphene — rebranded as iGii in 2024. Dr. Caffio earned a PhD in Physical Chemistry, specializing in surface science. His research focuses on the design and implementation of 2D materials and devices to address critical challenges in chemical and bio-sensor, energy storage, printed electronics, and catalysis.

His groundbreaking work on Three-dimensional version of 2D materials has enabled transformative advancements in nanotechnology, including the development of scalable solutions for next-generation of electrochemical bio-sensors, printed batteries, printed supercapacitors and printed electronics.  At iGii, Dr. Caffio leads a team of scientists and engineers, driving the translation of innovative research from laboratory scale to mass production.
