iGii prepares for global manufacturing and increased international sales with appointment of new Chief Operating Officer
Andrew Lacey has been appointed to a newly-created position of Chief Operating Officer.
Andrew will be responsible for developing Integrated Graphene’s global manufacturing capabilities, enabling commercial quantity international selling of GiiTM into North America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific regions.
GiiTM is a unique carbon-based 3D structure created by Integrated Graphene through a patented manufacturing process. The nanomaterial delivers superior sensitivity, sustainability, transforming commercial products’ capabilities. The company’s customers include point-of-care medical diagnostic tests providers, whose products can detect a wide-range of indications in seconds, anywhere in the world, when powered by GiiTM – from cardiovascular to neurological disorders.
Andrew brings decades of extensive experience in operational leadership, manufacturing operations and commercialisation to Integrated Graphene.
A chartered engineer by training, he has created and executed complex manufacturing processes for items big and small, from textiles to automotive. His experience includes developing a new multi-facility manufacturing footprint for Volvo Car Corporation and as General Manager of a $250m business for manufacturing operation of Autoliv, the world’s largest safety supplier, both while working in China. Andrew returned to the UK in 2017 following periods of work in Turkey, Sweden and the UK, consulting for PwC on operational improvement and capital projects for a range of industries.
