Leila has over a decade of experience in electrochemistry, biosensing, assay development, and nanomaterials, she has led cross-functional teams in both academia and industry, driving innovation in diagnostic technologies.

Leila holds a PhD in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Isfahan, Iran, where her research focused on developing nanoparticle-functionalized aptasensors for detecting biologically significant compounds and cancer cells.
She has worked across leading academic institutions, including as a visiting fellow at Linköping University in Sweden, a research fellow at Korea and Yonsei University, and a research professor at Chung-Ang University in South Korea. Her expertise spans electrochemical biosensing, lab-on-chip platforms, and point-of-care diagnostics.
With over a decade of experience in electrochemistry, biosensing, assay development, and nanomaterials, she has led cross-functional teams in both academia and industry, driving innovation in diagnostic technologies. Before joining iGii, she played a key role in developing advanced biosensing systems for SARS-CoV-2 detection and contributed to cutting-edge point-of-care testing solutions.
As Lead Development Scientist in the Sensors team, she leads the design and development of innovative diagnostic assays using iGii’s proprietary Gii-Sens™ technology. She oversees experimental design, research strategy, and lab-based execution, ensuring robust assay performance and sensor optimization. Her work bridges scientific innovation with real-world impact, advancing product development to meet industry and regulatory standards.
