iGii appoints Dr Jo Holmes to supercharge Gii-Sens growth
Dr. Jo Holmes has been appointed to spearhead sales of Gii-Sens, its world leading electrochemical electrode.
With a distinguished background in electrochemistry spanning both business and academia, Dr. Holmes brings a wealth of expertise to the team. In this newly created role, she will collaborate with new and existing customers to integrate Gii-Sens into their sensing products.
Gii-Sens offers a more sensitive, more environmentally friendly, and more affordable sensor. Based on Integrated Graphene’s patent-pending Gii nanomaterial, which is composed of pure carbon and is manufactured without using any toxic materials, it can be used in various sensor types, including Point-of-Care diagnostics machines.
Dr Holmes joins from Metrohm UK, a leading manufacturer of high-precision instruments for chemical analysis. During her tenure there, she held multiple roles, culminating in her position as Metrohm Electrochemistry (MEC) Business Manager, where she spearheaded the sales strategy for electrochemistry products. Dr. Holmes began her career in academia, earning a PhD in Electrochemistry from Cranfield University, Bedfordshire, UK, and subsequently serving as a post-doctoral researcher and later as a Senior Post-Doc.
As Sales Manager, Dr. Holmes will report to recently appointed Interim Chief Commercial Officer, Cheryl Harding, who is leading on Integrated Graphene’s new focus on the point-of-care medical testing market.
Commenting on her appointment, Dr. Holmes stated,
“Gii-Sens has the potential to revolutionise Point-of-Care diagnostics testing, ultimately facilitating earlier disease diagnosis and easing the strain on the healthcare sector. The Integrated Graphene team has done an incredible job developing this product, and I am excited to collaborate with both new and existing customers to bring more Gii-Sens powered point-of-care diagnostic tests to market.”
Jean-Christophe Granier, Chief Executive Officer at Integrated Graphene, added:
“We have recently realigned our focus to target the Point-of-Care diagnostics sector with our Gii-Sens electrode. It is a market with immense potential, and Dr. Holmes brings the right experience and unparalleled knowledge to accelerate our growth in this sector.”
